Installing a home power backup generator is quickly becoming the new standard for homeowners. Severe weather, flooding, a deteriorating electric grid, downed power lines or a failed transformer can result in an unexpected loss of power for hours, days or weeks.
When faced with how much you have to lose during a temporary or lengthy power outage, the value of having your own power, for the life of your home, far exceeds the cost.
Here are the most common reasons for needing home power backup:
TV, Phone, Internet
Stove and microwave
Well pump and filtration systems
Saving the food in your refrigerator and freezer
Home office/working from home
Medical devices - Ventilators, Oxygen machines, Dialysis treatments, chair lifts, power wheelchairs, CPAP machines.
Digital Loss Prevention - computer files, hard drives crashing, home servers, or working in IT from home.
Garage door opener
Automatic power when you’re not there; one less thing to worry
about while traveling or for vacant homeowners.

in Columbia, Tennessee:
Home Power Backup was founded on the idea that independent power will help keep families safe and secure during unexpected power outages.
In February of 2021, Texas suffered a major power crisis which came about as a result of severe winter storms. The storms caused the worst energy infrastructure failure in Texas state history, leading to shortages of water, food and heat. More than 4.5 million homes and businesses were left without power for several days and in some cases, several weeks.
Our family members living near San Antonio, Texas were forced to deal with record low temperatures that fell below temperatures in Anchorage, Alaska. They were without power, water and heat for weeks. They were helpless and unprepared. This event along with other state by state Power Grid issues, unpredictable weather, and an unprecedented number of power outages across the U.S., triggered us to start a company that would provide independent, backup power for homeowners.
